Program Features

  • Experienced Teachers: Our instructors, taught at prestigious local private schools, are highly qualified and passionate about teaching Mandarin. They use innovative teaching methods to ensure each student is engaged and progressing.

  • Small Class Sizes: We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to provide personalized attention and foster a supportive learning atmosphere.

  • Interactive Curriculum: Our curriculum is designed to be interactive and culturally rich. Students will participate in activities such as role-playing, storytelling, crafts, and games that make learning Chinese enjoyable.

  • Cultural Immersion: Beyond language skills, we introduce students to Chinese culture through various themed activities, including traditional festivals, calligraphy, brush painting, cooking Chinese food, and Chinese crafts on traditional Chinese holidays.

  • Safe and Welcoming Environment: Our facilities are spacious, bright, and equipped with everything needed to create a safe and inspiring learning environment.

Program Details

  • Chinese 3 (Grade 4-7) 9:15 am-10:45 am on Saturdays

  • Chinese 2 (Grade 2-3) 11 am-12:30 pm on Saturdays

  • Chinese 1 (Grade K-1) 1:00-2:30 pm on Saturdays

  • Location: Live Love Learn Chinese School, 151A Old County Rd, San Carlos

  • Dates: September 7th to December 14th, Open for the 2024-2025 school year. 2025 enrollment will be announced later based on the Fall enrollment.

  • Holidays: No classes on national holidays (Thanksgiving Break 2024) in California.

  • It is a more intense program that is meant for students who are comfortable in a Chinese immersion environment and able to complete Chinese assignments over the week. We may need teamwork from families to support students to review and practice throughout the week.

Cultural Activities (based on the seasonal themes)

Our program goes beyond language instruction to offer a deep dive into Chinese culture. Students will have the opportunity to engage in:

  • Brush Painting: Learning the traditional art of Chinese brush painting, which helps students understand the cultural significance and techniques of this ancient art form.

  • Calligraphy: Practicing Chinese calligraphy, where students will learn to write characters with traditional brushes and ink, enhancing their appreciation for the beauty and precision of the written language.

  • Cooking Chinese Food: Participating in cooking classes where students can learn to make popular Chinese dishes, giving them a hands-on experience of Chinese culinary traditions.

  • Chinese Crafts: Creating crafts related to traditional Chinese holidays, such as lanterns for the Lantern Festival, paper cuttings for Chinese New Year, and dragon boats for the Dragon Boat Festival, providing students with a deeper understanding of these cultural celebrations.
