The Moon Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month (officially falls on September 25 this year), is one of the most beloved Chinese holidays. Families gather to admire the full moon, share mooncakes, and paint lanterns.
The round moon symbolizes 团圆 (tuán yuán)—unity and togetherness. Just as the moon becomes full, families come together to give thanks for the harvest, enjoy food, and express love for those near and far.
